2. Who can use Paid Sorted
Paid Sorted is designed for sole traders, freelancers and small businesses to keep track of their own invoices. You must be 18 or over. By creating an account you agree to these terms and our privacy notice.
3. What Paid Sorted does — and doesn't do
Paid Sorted helps you track invoices you have already issued elsewhere: it shows balances and due or overdue invoices, records payments you enter, reminds you inside the app, prepares reminder text for you to copy and send yourself, and, if you choose, emails you a daily summary.
- It does not create, issue or send invoices.
- It does not take, process or hold payments.
- It never contacts your customers. You decide whether to send a reminder and send it yourself.
- It does not guarantee that any customer will pay, and it is not a debt-collection service.
- It does not give legal, financial or debt-collection advice. Reminder templates are general wording; check they suit your situation before sending.
4. Your account
Keep your sign-in details secure and don't share your account. Tell us promptly at support@paidsorted.com if you think someone else has accessed it. You are responsible for activity on your account unless it results from our failure to take reasonable care.
5. Your information and responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of the invoices, payments and customer details you enter, for the messages you send to your customers, and for having an appropriate lawful basis to hold your customers' information. Balances and statuses are calculated only from what you record.
6. Acceptable use
Please don't: use Paid Sorted for anything unlawful, harassing or misleading; try to access other users' data or our systems without permission; disrupt or overload the service; or copy, resell or reverse-engineer it except where the law allows.
7. Plans and pricing
Free: £0, with up to 3 active unpaid invoices at a time. An invoice stops counting once it is fully paid. When you reach the limit you can still view, edit and record payments on existing invoices, but you can't add a new one until an invoice is paid or deleted.
Pro (coming soon): a planned price of £5.99 per month for unlimited active invoices and custom follow-up dates. Pro is not available yet and no payments are taken. Before Pro launches, we will publish its price, billing, renewal, cancellation and refund terms, and you will see them before you agree to pay. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
8. Availability and support
We aim to keep Paid Sorted available and working well, but it may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance, updates or reasons outside our control. We may change or improve features; if we make a change that significantly affects you, we will let you know. Support is by email.
9. Suspending or closing accounts
We may suspend or close an account if it seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, puts other users or the service at risk, or if we must by law. Where reasonable we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem and to delete your data. If we decide to stop providing Paid Sorted altogether, we will give you reasonable notice.
10. Closing your account and your data
You can delete your account at any time from Account → Delete account. This removes your login and records from the live database immediately. Some copies may remain for a limited time in backups and our providers' logs, as explained in our privacy notice.
11. Intellectual property
The information you enter remains yours. Paid Sorted's software, design and wording belong to us. You may use the service and copy the reminder text it prepares for your own business purposes.
12. Our responsibility to you
We will provide the service with reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, for unpaid invoices or customers' decisions, for messages you choose to send, or for losses caused by inaccurate information you enter. Because Paid Sorted is a business tool, we are not liable for loss of profit, business or opportunity. Except as set out below, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim and £100.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights.
13. Complaints and disputes
If you are unhappy, please email support@paidsorted.com with "Complaint" in the subject. We will try to resolve things fairly and quickly.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If changes are significant we will tell you in advance by email or in the app. If you don't agree, you can delete your account.
15. Law and courts
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
